    Homestyle might be what stands it apart from many other butters. It is very satisfying, and I buy six jars at one time so that I won't run out, especially for a cold morning when toast and jam and some scrambled eggs suffice to combat the uncomfortable temperature.

    My paternal grandmother was of German heritage and lived in Indiana. They had apple trees in their back yard and she used to make apple butter in a great big copper kettle. This reminds me so much of my grandmom's recipe.

    I've been eating the "natural" no suagr added apple butter for years. We ahve since moved to the West Coast, so now we have it shipped to use by the case :)
